That Feeling

Ever been in love? I have. Twice actually. It's a feeling so hard to describe. Because it's so much more than just a word. It's the person, the place, the effort, and most of all the time. You can't just take those butterfly feeling in your stomach an assume it's love, because you could end up saying it to the wrong person. You need to put effort into letting them know how you feel. It's like taking care of a flower, you need to make sure it has everything it needs before it can bloom into something beautiful. And it takes time. Now some people fall in love with the right person at the right time really fast. But for others, it takes time to bridge those feelings to the "L" word. It's really scary to say it, and quite frankly it's a pretty scary moment. You have all these worries; what if they don't feel the same? Is it too early? These questions race through your mind, but once you say it, oh boy. It's like a weight is lifted off you. But once you have that feeling it can go two ways; they can say it back and you feel like the world makes sense again. OR, they don't feel the same and that weight comes crashing down again. But that's not what I'm trying to explain. What I want to say is, love is good. Embrace it. Feel it. And once you have it, don't let go.

When It All Comes Together

Life is full of loose ends. They are friendships, relationships, interests, ideas. And all of them have a connection with something. Now when you find that connection everything else seems to come together into one big something. Everything seems to make sense, and you feel accomplished. Connections in life are made for a reason. We may not know the reason, and we may never will, but they make our life complete. In the words of my wise father, "You need to plug it into the right thing, or else it won't fit," now this was being said about a power cord but it relates to this as well. Only the right thing can fit. And sometimes when it doesn't you just have to go and try again. But there are rare occasions when you find the right fit without even looking. And those, are the best.
